Recently I wrote to you about the need for a part time position of a Coordinator of Evangelization and Stewardship.  I explained that this person would work with me, the pastoral and finance councils and the stewardship committee to manage and organize our efforts in evangelization and stewardship in order to renew and reinvigorate our parish.

Dear friends,
In the time of year-end giving, President Obama has just signed the IRA charitable rollover
into law for 2014! The law allows individuals 70 1/2 and older to transfer a gift from their individual retirement account without being subject to taxes on the distribution

"I would like to share with you the 10 Commandments of Forgiveness that I spoke about in my homily last weekend.  During Advent one of the most concrete ways we can prepare for the coming of the Lord in the season of Advent is to be about forgiveness: seeking to find forgiveness in God’s love and mercy and then sharing it with our neighbors.  These are taken from William Bausch.

First New Life in English a Success

Our first New Life Retreat was held the weekend of November 21, 2014.  There were 43 participants and over 40 on the retreat team.  The retreat focused on renewing one's relationship with Christ by reflecting on his love, our failures, and his everlasting mercey.  There were lots of suprises in the retreat that moved all to feel as though they were living a new with as Catholic Christians.

Preparing for Christ, an Adult Advent Retreat

The retreat will take place in the Multi-purpose room found in the lower level of the church.  You can use the entrance on the Maple St. side of the church next to the circle drive.  There is no cost to attend this retreat.  Child care will also be provided at no cost during the retreat.Click here to learn more about the St. Benedict Forum.
