Civilize It

A divided country. Fights at the dinner table. Political vitriol. What does it mean to love our neighbors in the midst of such a climate? The U.S. bishops have responded to that question with Civilize It, a campaign that invites Catholics to model civility, love for neighbor, and respectful dialogue in the 2020 campaign season. The year-long campaign began Nov. 3, 2019.

Working Toward Dignity for All Humans | Dignidad para todos los humanos

"But racism still profoundly affects our culture, and it has no place in the Christian heart. This evil causes great harm to its victims, and it corrupts the souls of those who harbor racist or prejudicial thoughts. The persistence of the evil of racism is why we are writing this letter now."

Flu Shot Season | Temporada de vacunas para la influenza

Get your flu shot! The CDC recommends the flu shot every year. But, with the unpredictability of COVID-19 circulating at the same time as the flu, the best measure is to decrease the possible impacts on our respiratory system, including preventing the flu. The flu vaccine not only reduces your risk of illness but can prevent hospitalizations and deaths. Getting a flu shot also helps conserve potentially scarce health care resources during this pandemic.

Corpus Christi Catholic School's Plan for 2020/2021 School Year

Dear Parishioner,

As many of you know, Corpus Christi Catholic School handled the COVID-19 crisis with great care and an extreme concern for safety.  Just as impressive, the staff transitioned to online learning almost immediately!  CCCS transitioned to online classes in just one day; our children did not miss a beat.

For the coming school year, we want all parishioners to know the following:

Parish Tithing Update I Actualización de Nuestro Diezmo

For the last few months, St Francis de Sales Parish has directed its weekly tithes to three organizations that work to end food insecurity. Please consider supporting these great organizations when you give charitably: Kids Food Basket (local) and Bread for the World (international). St. Francis is also partnering with local food banks in a "food rescue" program. This program raises money that will go to local small-scale farmers to purchase produce which will then be distributed to area food banks including our St. Vincent de Paul Center.

New Home for Our Priests | Nuevo Hogar para nuestros Sacerdotes

Friends,

While the mission of our parish, to grow passionate disciples, remains constant, exactly how that is accomplished changes and requires certain updates. Through the years the housing needs of our parish clergy have changed. The time has come again for a change in location for our parish rectory.
