St. Vincent de Paul, September 2020 Update

“St. Vincent de Paul is appreciative of all donations coming our way! Over the course of the summer we have partnered with many local agencies to expand our outreach to the community. One of those is HRM Gateway. If your non-food donations are going to HRM Gateway, be certain to mention St. Vincent’s and they have a system to give us “credit” when we send clients their way. Just use our phone# as their reference: 616-394-0676.

Pastoral Council

The Pastoral Council is seeking a few parishioners who would be willing to join the Council in its work of helping to make passionate disciples here at St. Francis. Do you know of anyone whose gifts might be a good fit for this ministry? Would YOUR gifts be a good fit? Please contact Richard Ray (ray@hope.edu) to nominate yourself or a friend.

Additional Sunday Masses Added, September 2020

“Know, O Christian, that the Mass is the holiest act of religion. You cannot do anything to glorify God more, nor profit your soul more, than by devoutly assisting at it, and assisting as often as possible.”
-St. Peter Julian Eymard

2020-2021 Seminarian Prayer Campaign

October Prayer

Loving God,

You call me to act justly, love tenderly, and walk humbly with you. Help me to know how to bring justice and love to a world desperately in need of you and your values. Strengthen us all with the courage to respond to your invitation to serve. Amen.

Fall Sports with Corpus Christi | Deportes con la Escuela Corpus Christi

Corpus Christi Catholic School, our parish school, encourages parishioners with children in grades 5-8 to consider participating in Corpus Christi sports. There's no need to be a student at CCCS to participate. Below are the sports that are available for the Fall season...Boys soccer, Girls Volleyball, Co-ed Cross Country. Contact the school if you'd like your youth to join.

Olivewood Sale - September 12/13, 2020

In 2 weeks Catholics around the world will collect money to support Christians in the Holy Land. Because of Covid, people there are living in dire circumstances. Because our parish has an established relationship with a family of olive wood carvers, we will raise money in a unique way. On September 12 and 13, olive wood carvings from Bethlehem will be available for purchase in our pavilion.
