Our parish is sending 8 pilgrims (7 young adults and 1 parent) to World Youth Day in Lisbon, Portugal the first week of August 2023. We will pray over them Sunday, July 23 at the 12:30 pm Mass as a community. Let us keep them in prayer as they embark on this pilgrimage.
For nearly 12 years, Tom Eggleston has been ministering at our parish by coordinating funerals, caring for the sick and homebound members, administering immigration assistance, working on the Parish Leadership Team, and collaborating with the St. Vincent de Paul team. Over the last six months, however, Tom has discerned that God is inviting him to begin a new adventure.
The Holland Knights of Columbus would like to thank the congregations of both parishes for their generous support of our Father's Day Tootsie Pop Drive to benefit a crisis pregnancy center in the diocese of Grand Rapids. Our two parishes donated $2,424 towards this purchase. Once a location is selected we will share with you where the machine gets donated to! Thank you for your continued generous support!
Father Juan Palomar is a Comboni priest. He is the missionary priest who will work with the migrant workers during July 2023. He will be in our parish between Wednesday July 12 and Monday July 24. He will stay at the rectory. Read about him below.
Over the last year, I’ve become a part of the Fatherhood Collaborative in Ottawa County involving several local organizations including Arbor Circle, Movement West Michigan, and the staff from the Ottawa County School District. Fatherhood has been something on my heart in part because of having the privilege of being a father of five children myself. More over, it’s on my heart because in my 16 years in ministry, I’ve witnessed the positive effects of good fatherhood figures in people’s lives.
