St. Anthony of Padua Church, Grand Rapids, is hosting a special presentation on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 7:15 p.m. by Timothy Florian, director of annual giving at St. Meinrad Seminary and School of Theology. Timothy will share his powerful story of loss and healing, recounting the tragic drowning of his two brothers, which he witnessed during their teenage years.

Reflect on Stewardship

As we begin our annual stewardship campaign, we invite you to take a moment to reflect on the many blessings God has bestowed upon you and our parish. Stewardship is our grateful response to God’s mercy and generosity, and it calls us to live out our faith through prayer, service, and sharing.

The weekend of October 12 & 13, 2024, St. Francis de Sales Parish joins with parishes around the world in celebrating World Mission Sunday. This special day reminds us of our call to share the Gospel and care for communities in need, especially in areas where the Church is young, struggling, or persecuted.

We are starting to recruit anyone interested in participating in the Conchero dances for the celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe on December 12^th.  Concheros is a syncretic dance that combines pre-Hispanic and Christian elements, and is an important traditional dance and ceremony performed in Mexico.  We will be having a sign up after masses this and next week.  We will be starting practicing in 10/22 until 12/10.
