  1. Do I have to speak and share my thoughts?

  • No. You can be silent all the time if you want.

  1. Do you need to be a Catholic or even Christian to attend?

  • No. Alpha is for anyone seeking answers to life's most important questions.

  1. How long does an Alpha session last?

  • The sessions last 2 hours. They go fast. We start on time and we always finish on time.

  1. How many weeks does the course last?

  • The course lasts 11 weeks with a one-day retreat midway through the course.

  1. How much does Alpha cost?

  • Alpha is free for everyone who attends!

  1. I'm coming and I will not know anyone else. Is that normal?

  • Yes. Most people come to Alpha without knowing anyone else in the course. By the end of the course, most people become good friends. Alpha is a great way to meet new people.

  1. Can I just "come and see" during the first week?

  • Yes. Just sign up to let us know you’re coming (if your hosts are providing food, this will help)

  1. What if I go for a week or two and don't want to continue?

  • If you don't want to continue after a week or two, no worries. We will not call or bother you if you do not come back.

  1. Is childcare available?

  • Yes, but only for the sessions that take place in person at church or at our school, and it's free. Simply indicate that you need childcare on the registration form.

    • *** Note: At this time, due to the COVID-19 coronavirus, we are unable to offer childcare for any of our sessions. We know this is important to many of our families and we hope to make it available again as soon as possible. ***

  1. I am catholic. Alpha is for me?

  • Yes. Alpha is an excellent course for people who are already Catholic, especially for those who find themselves with unanswered questions about the faith or for those who want a place to invite friends who have questions. It's also a great way to meet new people that you would not otherwise cross paths with!
