Our parish's vibrant celebration of the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe's began with a nine day novena that culminated in a joyous celebration on the revered feast day.
Throughout the novena, our community came together to partake in prayer, celebration, and hospitality. It was a wonderful time to celebrate our shared faith and the culture that is weaved into our parish thanks to parishioners from and with heritage from Latin American Countries.
In the early morning hours on December 12, we commenced our festivities with "Las Mañanitas," a heartfelt serenade to Our Lady. The rich cultural tapestry of our parish unfolded through the graceful movements of native danzas, captivating dances that paid homage to the cultural heritage and expressed honor to and thanksgiving to God for Our Lady of Guadalupe. A theatrical performance unfolded, recounting the miraculous apparitions of the blessed Mary to St. Juan Diego. Through drama and storytelling, we immersed ourselves in the profound narrative that has inspired generations of faith and devotion.
The pinnacle of our celebration was the Holy Mass. United as a community of faith, we gathered to partake in the sacred liturgy, where prayers, hymns, and the Eucharist became the focal points of our communal devotion. The air was thick with reverence, and the vibrant colors of our celebrations mirrored the depth of our spiritual connection.
La vibrante celebración de la Fiesta de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe en nuestra parroquia comenzó con una novena de nueve días que culminó en una alegre celebración en el venerado día de la festividad.
A lo largo de la novena, nuestra comunidad se unió para participar en la oración, la celebración y la hospitalidad. Fue un momento maravilloso para celebrar nuestra fe compartida y la cultura que está tejida en nuestra parroquia gracias a feligreses de países latinoamericanos y con herencia de esos lugares.
En las primeras horas de la mañana del 12 de diciembre, iniciamos nuestras festividades con "Las Mañanitas", una serenata sincera a Nuestra Señora. El rico tapiz cultural de nuestra parroquia se desplegó a través de los movimientos elegantes de danzas autóctonas, bailes cautivadores que rindieron homenaje a la herencia cultural y expresaron honor y agradecimiento a Dios por Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. Se desarrolló una representación teatral, narrando las apariciones milagrosas de la bendita Virgen María a San Juan Diego. A través del drama y la narración, nos sumergimos en la profunda narrativa que ha inspirado generaciones de fe y devoción.
La cúspide de nuestra celebración fue la Santa Misa. Unidos como comunidad de fe, nos congregamos para participar en la liturgia sagrada, donde las oraciones, himnos y la Eucaristía se convirtieron en los puntos focales de nuestra devoción comunal. El aire estaba cargado de reverencia y los colores vibrantes de nuestras celebraciones reflejaron la profundidad de nuestra conexión espiritual.
