We're thrilled to share an incredible update from St. Francis de Sales Church: our Youth Alpha Weekend Experience held on October 21st and 22nd, 2023 was nothing short of amazing! Over the past few weeks, 70 enthusiastic and spiritually hungry young souls have embarked on a journey through Alpha for Youth, and the weekend experience marked the pinnacle of their adventure.
Alpha for Youth: Nurturing Faith, Cultivating Hearts
Alpha for Youth is a transformative program designed to engage young minds and hearts, and guide them on a path of spiritual discovery. Our aim is to deepen their connection with the Holy Spirit through Scripture and the power of prayer ministry. Throughout this Fall, our dedicated group of 70 youths has actively participated in this course, eager to explore their faith on a profound level.
The Weekend Experience: A Spiritual High Point
The Youth Alpha Weekend Experience is the high point of the Alpha for Youth program. It's a unique opportunity for these young individuals to come together, to share, to worship, and to dive deep into their faith journey.
During the weekend, our youth had the privilege of connecting with the Holy Spirit in ways they might never have before. Guided by Scripture and the tender experience of prayer ministry, they tapped into their spiritual potential and grew closer to God.
Discovering the Kerygma: The Heart of Our Faith
At the heart of Alpha for Youth is the Kerygma, which holds the essence of our faith. It invites our youth to contemplate the profound message of our faith:
1. God's Creation: We explore the beauty of God's creation, recognizing that He has formed each of us with love and care.
2. The Fall of Humanity: We understand how humanity fell through original sin, a turning point in our relationship with God.
3. God's Response: We rejoice in the revelation that God responded to our fall by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, who lived, died, and rose for our salvation.
4. Our Response: Now, the ball is in our court. We have the choice to respond to this incredible love that God has for us.
A Future Filled with Hope
Our hope is that the youth who have taken part in this program will emerge with a deeper desire to know God, to connect more profoundly with His Church, and to live out the message of the Kerygma in their daily lives.

We can't express enough gratitude to our amazing volunteers, both adults and youths, who have devoted their time, energy, and love to make this program possible. It's through their dedication that these young hearts have been nurtured and cherished along their faith journey.

Una Experiencia Transformadora: El Fin de Semana de la Juventud Alpha de San Francisco de Sales

Estamos encantados de compartir una actualización increíble de la Iglesia de San Francisco de Sales: ¡nuestra Experiencia del Fin de Semana de la Juventud Alpha, celebrada los días 21 y 22 de octubre de 2023, fue simplemente asombrosa! Durante las últimas semanas, 70 jóvenes entusiastas y espiritualmente ávidos han emprendido un viaje a través de Alpha para la Juventud, y la experiencia de fin de semana marcó el punto culminante de su aventura.
Alpha para la Juventud: Nutriendo la Fe, Cultivando Corazones
Alpha para la Juventud es un programa transformador diseñado para involucrar a jóvenes mentes y corazones, y guiarlos en un camino de descubrimiento espiritual. Nuestro objetivo es profundizar su conexión con el Espíritu Santo a través de las Escrituras y el poder del ministerio de oración. A lo largo de este otoño, nuestro dedicado grupo de 70 jóvenes ha participado activamente en este curso, ansiosos por explorar su fe a un nivel profundo.
La Experiencia de Fin de Semana: El Punto Álgido Espiritual
La Experiencia del Fin de Semana de la Juventud Alpha es el punto culminante del programa Alpha para la Juventud. Es una oportunidad única para que estos jóvenes se reúnan, compartan, adoren y se sumerjan profundamente en su viaje de fe.
Durante el fin de semana, nuestros jóvenes tuvieron el privilegio de conectar con el Espíritu Santo de maneras que quizás nunca habían experimentado antes. Guiados por las Escrituras y la tierna experiencia del ministerio de oración, se sumergieron en su potencial espiritual y se acercaron a Dios.
Descubriendo el Kerygma: El Corazón de Nuestra Fe
En el corazón de Alpha para la Juventud se encuentra el Kerygma, que contiene la esencia de nuestra fe. Invita a nuestros jóvenes a contemplar el mensaje profundo de nuestra fe:
1. La Creación de Dios: Exploramos la belleza de la creación de Dios, reconociendo que Él nos ha formado con amor y cuidado.
2. La Caída de la Humanidad: Entendemos cómo la humanidad cayó a través del pecado original, un punto de inflexión en nuestra relación con Dios.
3. La Respuesta de Dios: Nos regocijamos en la revelación de que Dios respondió a nuestra caída enviando a Su Hijo, Jesucristo, quien vivió, murió y resucitó para nuestra salvación.
4. Nuestra Respuesta: Ahora, la pelota está en nuestro tejado. Tenemos la elección de responder a este increíble amor que Dios siente por nosotros.
Un Futuro Lleno de Esperanza
Nuestra esperanza es que los jóvenes que han participado en este programa emerjan con un deseo más profundo de conocer a Dios, de conectarse más profundamente con Su Iglesia y de vivir el mensaje del Kerygma en sus vidas cotidianas.
