St. Francis de Sales Parish has a variety of offerings for adult faith formation:

• Wednesday Evening Speaker Series which includes a speakers on a vareity of topics ranging from "Dracula meets the Pope" (meeting on the Wednesday before Halloween) to a 3-week series on "How to Recognize God's Presence & Voice".
• Sacramental Preparation Programs for Adults, including a process for those seeking Baptism as well as already baptized Christians interested in joining the Catholic Church.   See Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.)
• Small Christian Communities, which meet on a regular basis as a small group to study the upcoming Sunday readings.
• Monthly Family Program for families of all ages.  Each monthly session includes activiities as a total group and age-specific sessions for children, teens and adults.
• JustFaith, a 30-week justice formation process with a focus on poverty.  Meeting weekly, groups use books, videos, lecture, discussion, prayer, retreats and hands-on experiences.  The intent is to provide a tapestry of learning opportunities that emphasize and enliven the remarkable justice tradition of the Church.  At St. Francis, we began the course in 2002 and have since have over 200 graduates.  Our next class begins in September of 2009.  For more information about the program at St. Francis, contact Sr. Pat Lamb, RSM, Director of Social Justice/Outreach, 392-6700, ext. 114 or plamb@stfrancisholland.org.  For more information about the national program and its offerings:  www.justfaith.org
• Financial Peace University is a life-changing program that teaches you how to make the right decisions with your money. • Catechist Certification:  It is the goal of the Faith Formation ministry at St. Francis de Sales that all catechists be working toward diocesan certification.
