Service Opportunities
The outreach ministry is made possible through the generosity of time and talent of the members of St. Francis
- Thanksgiving food ‘baskets’: Weeks of preparation of approximately 50 volunteers
- Christmas Giving Tree: About 12 volunteers make possible the gift tags for the giving tree, inventory the gifts, and prepare them for pickup
- Christmas food ‘baskets’: Again about 50 volunteers are needed
- Annual flu shot clinic: Between 6 & 8 volunteers are needed
- Year round Holiday Assistance: Between 4 & 6 folks are needed
- Shopping St. Vincent Center: About 12 people assist with the weekly restocking of the center
- Shopping Feeding America West Michigan Food Bank (Gleaners): Between 6 & 8 volunteers are needed
- St. Vincent de Paul Center: Staffed by regular volunteers
- Annual Holland CROP Walk: The coordinators are Pete and Julie Mokma
- Red Cross Blood Drive: Between 6 & 8 volunteers are needed
- Habitat for Humanity: St. Francis is involved in a church unity build. Co-chairpersons are needed as well as many volunteers on construction
- Migrant Story Hour: Adults are needed to read with children at a migrant camp. Rhonda Panozzo is the Coordinator.
