Lent is a time of renewal in which we highlight three practices in our lives—fasting, almsgiving (giving), and prayer.  Ultimately Lent is about preparing ourselves to receive the outpouring of God’s mercy found in his life, death, and resurrection.  It’s about accepting God’s unconditional love without condition.
