This summertime Tom Eggleston (pastoral associate at Our Lady of the Lake) and Hope College philosophy professor Dr. Joe LaPorte will be leading a discussion and faith sharing group for young Catholics. The ultimate hope of the group is to facilitate a deepening of one's lived faith experience through short readings on the topic of Personalism, a favorite topic of Pope St. John Paul II and Pope Francis. Personalism is the conviction of the infinite dignity of each and every human being, an idea that carries profound richness for our spiritual lives. The meetings will also involve faith sharing and building a sense of community among its members. Participants will be college-age, more or less, a mixture of Hope students and other students who are home for summer break in Holland from other colleges. We will meet each Thursday evening (beginning June 2nd) in the lower level of St. Francis de Sales at 7:00-8:30 pm. If you are interested or know someone who might be, contact Tom Eggleston at teggleston@oll.org or Dr. LaPorte at jlapore@hope.edu or by using the form below.
